Project

Leggat McCall Properties was engaged to provide development management to the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, an independent not-for-profit research organization, in the 7-story addition and renovation to the existing Hill Building in Kendall Square. During construction, 3 of the 7 floors remained occupied by third-party tenants. Construction of the addition included a deep, complex basement on a constrained site bounded by other large occupied life science facilities on all sides. The project also included a 2-story mechanical penthouse, renovations to all common areas in the existing facility, and coordination with interior fitout for the major tenant, Schlumberger Doll Research, with 165,000 sf in the new facility.
