City Square, Worcester, MA is a 2 million sf mixed-use project set on 20 acres in downtown Worcester that has been greatly anticipated as a major boost to the City of Worcester and to central MA. The former Worcester outlets bisected the city in a way that created confusion, disruption and a pedestrian-unfriendly downtown area. The first phase of the project includes demolition of the parking garage and outer mall, construction of a 200,000 sf building to be leased by UNUM, and construction of a 66,000 oncology center for St. Vincent's Hospital. The longterm vision for the second phase is to bring residences, retail, and additional office space to the site.
