Project

Leggat McCall was hired to provide strategic development planning for reuse of the site, and to act as project manager for all design and construction activities for Schepens, the largest independent eye research institute in the US. The project was designed to enhance collaboration by creating visual sight lines and better adjacencies among researchers. It also required major base building, hazardous material abatement, and full MEP systems upgrades in an occupied building. Wet lab and vivarium renovations were phased to allow for continued operations while construction was underway.
